Fixing Boat Trailer Lights

Are your boat trailer lights not working when you turn them on? Or maybe they're blinking when you don't want them to? BoatUS Magazine associate editor Charles Fort walks you through the steps necessary to identify, troubleshoot, and fix boat trailer light problems. Start by testing your tow vehicle plug. Then clean contacts with contact cleaner and use dielectric grease for good contact. Look for breaks in the wiring. Use a jumper wire and meter to test for continuity. Learn how to identify and fix a ground problem.
